Wire Coral (Cirrhipathes leukeni)
is a species of colonial black coral found throughout the Caribbean and surrounding warm waters. True to its name this coral forms into a 10 foot long wire-like stalk that coils and twists into various shapes. This stalk is covered with tentacles in which the colony uses to collect its food.
