Family Polioptilidae: A family of passerine birds commonly known as "Gnatcatchers". All gnatcatchers are native to the New World, being found in both North and South America. Gnatcatchers are close relatives of the wrens and some species are known as "Gnatwrens".

Black-bibbed Cicadabird (Coracina mindanensis)

Also known as the Black-bibbed Cuckoo-shrike, the black-bibbed cicadabird is a species of cuckoo-shrike endemic to the Philippines. They tend to inhabit moist lowland or montane forests, and are arboreal and solitary. Black-bibbed cicadabirds are poorly researched and not much is known about their biology. The black-bibbed cicadabird has five recognized subspecies each of which is distinct in the island it resides on.

The black-bibbed cicadabird is currently listed as vulnerable as it is threatened by habitat loss.
